Glass Specialty Company was founded in 1957 in Bloomington, Illinois. Inspired by a large central Illinois insurance company, Glass Specialty was the first auto glass company to offer highly-skilled mobile services. Today, we operate 37 branches across Illinois and parts of Missouri and Indiana. In Illinois alone, we have replaced over two million windshields!

Over the last 50 years, we have remained dedicated to the service and safety of our customers.  As windshields became more and more important in the structural integrity and safety of a vehicle, we became even more focused on the quality of our work. We work to educate the public about the importance of safe auto glass installation, and we go the extra mile to train our technicians. Glass Specialty technicians are all certified by the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council (AGRSS), a not-for-profit organization that holds auto glass shops to the strictest standards of safety and accuracy.
